Great price. Pictures did great justice, got to me very fast, with a very nice message from Hendrix classics. I like to collect these razors and give them as gifts. This particular one I bought to use daily. Recycle, reuse, repurpose, there’s no reason to participate in throwaway culture when you can use these beautiful tools.

I'm Pete Hendrix from Nashville, TN and have a few passions. First, I'm committed to helping the world have a better shave. Next, I enjoy formulating and making personal care products like soap, balm, lotion, shave soap, etc... from natural ingredients that are great for men's and women's skin. All of our products in this category are formulated and made in house.

I really enjoy making premium quality straight razors and knives for others - at a quality level to be passed through generation after generation. It matters to me that customers are delighted and love their item.

Artisan craftsmanship goes back generations in my family. My mother enjoyed making and refinishing furniture. My grandfather harvested lumber and made many things. One that stands out is an exact replica of one of George Washington's foot lockers.

I've continued the tradition with knives, straight razors and leather accessories.

I would be honored to make an heirloom product for your family.

Custom and personalized orders

I'm happy to make custom scales (handles), Straight Razors, Knives and sheaths for you. I estimate 2-3 weeks for custom orders where I have materials in stock and an additional week if I have to order anything.

I can refer you to websites with scale (handle) material if you want to peruse them.

You can order scale material and have it sent to me if preferred.

Care instructions

Most straight razors are made of carbon steel, which means that they'll rust or spot if you leave water on them for more than a few minutes after use.

After shaving:

1. Use a wet cloth to GENTLY wipe the blade, not touching the blade edge. Follow this with a dry cloth.

2. MOST IMPORTANTLY, take a piece of paper towel and run it between the scales, removing all water. Failure to do this step causes the most trouble

3. Purchasing a stainless steel razor makes sense if you aren't sure that you'll be consistent with the directions above or if you live at the beach.

4. Some people put a very light coat of oil on carbon steel blades - depending on humidity and salt in the air.

Is a straight razor a good gift for someone currently using disposable cartridges for shaving?

Quality straight razors are expensive. We don't want you to spend a lot on a straight razor, only to find that the recipient doesn't like it.
